One of the simplest ways to connect to library resources from off-campus is by accessing them through the library website. If you go through our site (rather than another source like Google Scholar), it will ask you to log in with your GVSU username and password. This allows you access to all online GVSU materials. If you go through another website, you may end up being asked for a database specific account.

If you are trying to work through the library website and you keep getting messages that you are "forbidden," this means that the system is no longer reading you as a current student, faculty, or staff. If you think these messages are a mistake, and you are still a student, faculty, or staff, please call us (616-331-3500) or email library@gvsu.edu and we can help you out.

If you get a message that your IP is blocked, please contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance.
