Who can request delivery?

Anyone who is affiliated with GVSU and who CANNOT access one of the campus library locations is welcome to request their library items be delivered to their home address.

Typically this service is used by distance learners, but it has also been useful for those experiencing transportation or mobility issues.

How do I request delivery?

When requesting an item from the library catalog, select the pickup location for Off Campus Delivery. This will alert the library staff that you’d like the item mailed to your home address.

How does delivery work?

Once library staff have received your request, they will email you directly to verify your home address to ensure you receive your items. After you verify your address, library staff will checkout the items on your library account and then mail your items through USPS.

How do I return books?

When you’re finished with the library items, it will be your responsibility to return them to the GVSU Libraries.

You are welcome drop off your library items at any of the campus locations:

If you are unable to drop off your library items, you can mail them to:

Mary Idema Pew Library. Grand Valley State University. 1 Campus Drive. Allendale Michigan 4 9 4 0 1

Please be aware that you are still considered responsible for your library items until they reach the library. So we highly recommend that you send your items via USPS media mail and purchase tracking. This helps protect you if the items become lost or damaged.
