We love having visitors!

When visiting, feel free to walk around and browse, but please be mindful of studying students. At the Mary Idema Pew Library, self-guided tour brochures are available at the service desk.

Our Steelcase and Mary Idema Pew locations also both have Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS - commonly referred to as the robotic book cranes) available for demonstration. To see them in action, head to the main service desk at each location and ask to see a crane demonstration. (Or, you can watch one of the ASRS from home.)

If you would like a more personalized tour, simply get in touch with Linda Anderson, Assistant to the Dean of University Libraries and make arrangements by phone at (616) 331-2606 or by email at
