Textbooks are not typically purchased for the library collection. To double-check whether a textbook is available, follow these steps:

  1. Search the catalog to see if we have the book in either a physical or digital format.
  2. Check the online course reserves to see if your required readings are there.
  3. If the textbook is listed as being on course reserve, visit the corresponding library and ask at the service desk to see the textbook.

If we do not have the book you are looking for, you can check the Michigan eLibrary to see if you can borrow it from another library. You can also search in our Open Educational Resources guide to see if your textbook is available as an open resource.

If you aren't able to get your textbook from the library, you can always order your textbooks through the GVSU Laker Store
