One of the simplest ways to connect to library resources from off-campus is by accessing them through the library website. If you go through our site, you will be asked to log in with your GVSU username and password. This allows you access to all online GVSU materials. If you go through another website, you may end up being asked for a database specific account.

If you prefer to use Google Scholar, you can connect your GVSU account to your Google Scholar profile to add links to GVSU-owned resources.

If you are trying to work through the library website and you keep getting messages that you are "forbidden," this means that the system is no longer reading you as a current student, faculty, or staff. If you think these messages are a mistake, and you are still a student, faculty, or staff, please call us at (616) 331-3500 or email library@gvsu.edu and we can help you out.

If you get a message that your IP is blocked, please contact IT Services for assistance.
