We are able to offer extended loan periods on GVSU materials because we also make them available to other users who may need them while they are loaned out.

If you receive a message saying your item has been "recalled" and that you have a new due date, this means that another library user has requested the item. In order to best support you and the other library user, your new due date gets set for 10 days after the request. You will not be able to renew the item during this time.
