As part of campus sustainability efforts, IT Services has implemented printing limits for students.

The semester limits for each student include:

  • Job limit-- 40 printed/copied pages (if double sided, 20 physical sheets)
  • Semester limit-- 500 printed/copied pages (if double sided, 250 physical sheets)

You can view your balance on the print release stations or by visiting https://gvprint.gvsu.edu/myprintcenter/.

Due to software limitations, this information is displayed in monetary value instead of pages. For example, you will have a balance of 500 pages at the beginning of the semester. This will display as $25.00, and $.05 will be deducted from your balance each time you print a page ($.10 for double-sided pages).

If you run out of pages, you can add more to your account here: https://www.gvsu.edu/it/gvsu-print-limit-rules-and-policies-179.htm. Additional pages can be purchased in increments of $5 (100 print pages), $10 (200 print pages), or $15 (300 print pages).

If you have problems with a paper jam deducting from your account without printing your pages, you can send an email to the IT Service Desk at IT@gvsu.edu and request a credit for the number of pages that were deducted from your account.
